Crumbling Gold

Ooh, I haven't reached this stage of the game yet, but I saw heartbreak looming for Naemon a mile off, so this is really tugging at my heartstrings even though I don't know the details yet... The colours here are just incredibly chosen, with the bright dark blue and the vivid rich hold, and how sharply they contrast each other... The way Naemon's hands grasp at the broken fragments is so haunting, and I love how the cracked texturing is overlaid on the whole image, as if to show how deeply fragmented his mind is. It's all just so symbolic and powerful. Looks like I have quite the emotional ride ahead of me...
