Update:

I initially wanted to have my nerdy dwarf Shohana to romance Sera; but their relationship would have turned out too similar to Seragna, so Shohana will end up with Felix (in my headcanon, of course).

PSA:

IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION THAT THE AWKWARD WORDING OF THE PART OF THIS JOURNAL THAT HAS TO DO WITH A DRAGON-AGE THEMED SATIRICAL STORY HAS BEEN USED BY SOME PEOPLE AS AN EXCUSE TO BULLY THE STORY'S AUTHOR. THESE PEOPLE ARE IN NO WAY AFFILIATED WITH MYSELF, AND I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE FOR THE MISUNDERSTANDING. THAT PART OF THE JOURNAL HAS NOW BEEN EDITED TO SOUND CLEARER. I DO NOT CONDONE BULLYING ON- OR OFFLINE, AND I KINDLY ASK THE READERS NOT TO REFER TO ME AS AN ENDORSEMENT OF SUCH BEHAVIOUR.

Since I really love the character creator in Dragon Age: Inquisition, I used it to fashion myself some new toons the other day. I don't know when I'll be able to actually play with them, but I just had to create them before I forgot their general design and backstories. ^^ (I am sure :iconvanya-ninque: can relate to that :XD: ).

You can read about my previous Inquisitors here:

Inquisitor Master Post of Doom!UPDATE: Aidan Trevelyan is now Ed trevelyan's father rather than brother. You can go see his new face(s) on my Tumblr:

I have been wanting to do this for a long time, firstly because I had a dire need to arrange my countless Dragon Age: Inquisition OCs in a more systemic way; and secondly because I secretly hope someone will find this interesting!
So, without further ado, let me introduce you to my throng of Inquisitors!
(For those not too familiar with Dragon Age, all of the Inquisitors belonging to one race have the same last name because that is a preset for the protagonist in Bioware games; though some of my fellas and gals actually are related to one another, as you will see shortly).

Arryn Lavellan

My 'canon' Inquisitor (ie the one I beat the game and all DLC with). Male mage, in his early to mid twenties. Impulsive, flashy, vain, and secretly very inse

First off, I created two brand new characters for future replays of my favourite pairings: Cassandra/m!Lavellan and Blackwall/f!Adaar.

Enasalin by NorroenDyrd

This handsome archer fellow is Enasalin "Sal" Lavellan.

When he was a teenager (before even getting his vallaslin) Sal fancied himself a bit of a vigilante, protecting the helpless city elves from oppression at the hands of the humans. One of his very first 'missions', however, ended in disaster. Having ventured off to a big city, Sal came across a human trader who was abusing his elven servant; determined to see him pay, the youngster followed the man to the local brothel, where he confronted him. During the resulting scuffle, the human hit his head on the stone mantelpiece and died - which is of course when the madam walked into the room. Being a resourceful, quick-witted woman, she helped Sal clean up the mess and promised to handle the guards - in exchange for the 'pretty elven boy' staying and doing some work for her establishment.

Sal's looks and natural agility made him quite popular, which meant that the proprietor was reluctant to let him go, and it was only thanks to Isabela's interference that he left this life behind. He joined the raiders briefly, but after the whole Tome of Koslun mess he and his beautiful captain were separated.

Sal did find the way to Kirkwall on his own eventually, and survived for a while by doing odd jobs at the docks and squatting in Darktown - until he crossed paths with Isabella again, and the captain's new friends Merrill and Hawke got him back in touch with his old clan, which was wandering the Free Marches. He finally got his vallaslin, too - but the return to Clan Lavellan was less touching than Sal might have hoped, and after learning what he had been getting up to, some of his clan mates took to rather viciously slut-shaming him. Being sent off to the Conclave and staying with the Inquisition came as quite a bit of a relief... up to the point when Sal began worrying what his devout Andrastian crush would think if him if she found out all the details of his past.

Saarath by NorroenDyrd

This, in turn, is Saarath Adaar, a Tal-Vashoth mage that just recently left the Qun (under circumstances that are yet to be determined).

As I play on the lowest graphics settings, I cannot give my characters scars, but I headcanon Saarath as having puncture marks from getting her lips sewn shut, as is the Qunari custom with their mages. She is also supposed to be more tender and fragile than her rogue counterpart, Naali; I might tweak her looks some more at the Black Emporium to soften her features.

Personality-wise, she is kinda like my Nord Dragonborn Sveta: painfully shy and timid (even more so than my male Qunari mage, Farkhad, who did not experience the cruel treatment of the Qun first-hand, and is more insecure about his size than his magic). She also has difficulty using her voice, after spending most of her adult life being unable to speak. When falling asleep and finding herself in the Fade, she tends to curl behind a rock, shivering, too afraid of demons to venture out and explore the place. Solas and Cole are helping her get over that, however.

Like Naali, she will romance Blackwall.

Ehkari by NorroenDyrd

Another Qunari, Ehkari Adaar (this name was given to him by humans, since he encountered them as a young age and introduced himself as 'imekari', which is Qunlat for 'child', and they thought he was saying 'I'm Ehkari').

For as long as he can remember, Ehkari was kept as a household pet/curio/manservant by an Orlesian chevalier, who died at the Conclave. Now he has to learn to be his own person and make independent decisions - and to help Dorian find true love.

Surprisingly enough for a Qunari, Ehkari specializes in dual-wielding daggers - because among other jobs he did for his late master, he was also a chef, and he actually enjoys waving carving knives around.

Kulak by NorroenDyrd

This Dwarf dude, Kulak Cadash, is a pretty standard, axe-wielding, Baruk-Khazad sort (because I have not actually played as a Baruk-Khazad male Dwarf before!). Despite his ferocity in battle, he is a big softie at heart and will (awkwardly) romance Josephine.

Shohana by NorroenDyrd

And finally, Shohana Cadash. Highly intelligent but unable to find an outlet for herself as a casteless Dwarf, she ended up being a secretary/book-keeper for a lyrium smuggler boss, though she always dreamed of applying her talent to something more. After the Big Bad is defeated, she will take a course at the University of Orlais, with the encouragement of her new buddy, Warden Felix Alexius, who underwent the Joining upon the insistence of Queen Tamara Theirin (nee Cousland), since Her Majesty spotted him in Redcliffe, shoved her husband in the ribs, and said, 'Yo Al, this kid looks like he has the Blight!'.

Shohana's looks are still a WIP, since my computer kept crashing, and my priority while creating her was getting her past the CC screen without it going black.

In other news, my good friend :iconskyflower51: has now Joined (hurrdurr) the Dragon Age fandom! She is very dear to me, so please give her a good, warm welcome! Also, please be aware that Sky chose the Human Noble origin. I know it is not considered as 'edgy' as the origin stories of more disenfranchised races, and that it is somewhat of a tradition to poke fun at the Cousland/Alistair romance (which is why I myself have not shared Tamara's story). In fact, I was just recently linked to a parody of a typical Cousland/Alistair romance

Mature Content

(Which was actually a really good satire, and carries a positive message in the end, what the author themself calls 'an affirmation of friendship'... And I am sure that there are Cousland/Alistair stories out there that aren't as awful as the ones referred to in here).

I have faith in my friend's superb writing ability, and I am sure that her stories about Warden Cousland (who has not romanced anyone yet, but is taking a shine to Alistair) will be wonderful! So if you decide to say something discouraging just because you prefer different romances or racial origins, well... That just wouldn't be very nice, now would it?
