IMPORTANT NOTE: In my fan fiction, I tend to follow the British rules of spelling and syntax (eg. single quotation marks in dialogues).

It has come to my attention that a lot of people, who are more used to me writing stories for the Elder Scrolls fandom, chose to disregard this story because it was written for the Dragon Age fandom.

I would just like to point out that the contest is not restricted to one fandom only, and I tried my best to make the story as understandable for those unfamiliar with Dragn Age as possible. If that is the only thing stopping you from reading it, please give me a chance. I worked very hard on my entry; I am sure it still has many flaws - but the sheer fact that it was written for a fandom you are not part of should not be one of them.

Also, I know I have made it a little unclear as to why exactly the gang has found themselves in the Fade, simply because the (mis)adventures that led them to this point are part of a very long, very complicated in-game quest, and giving exposition for that was not really necessary for the story's purposes (plus, it would have revealed too many spoilers for those who have yet to play the game). The most important thing is that they are there, and the demon is messing with them, and they are coping.

My part of the entry for the :iconthe-bards-college: Collaboration Contest.

It describes the final part of the Here Lies the Abyss dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Here_… quest from Dragon Age: Inquisition dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Porta…
The Inquisitor is a custom Lavellan named Arryn, who romanced Cassandra dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Cassa…
His other companions are:
Varric Tethras dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Varri…
Vivivenne dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Vivie…
Warden Stroud dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Jean-…
and, of course, Hawke dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Hawke (also a custom one)

Certain liberties were taken with the Nightmare's mind games and the graveyard in the Fade.
The story about the healer and the mages is reference to the Last Christmas episode of Doctor Who.

I've started reading this and it's great. Unfortunately, I've come down with a major cold and thus it might take me a while to get through the story and comment coherently.
