Love you too, Grandad

Long have I searched for a subject that would be appropriate for my skill level; it seems that I have finally found it!

Illari 'Illa' Oreyn, my female Dunmer Dragonborn, has found herself literally haunted by the restless spirit of her grandfather, Modryn Oreyn, who apparently is dissatisfied with her questionalbe morals (in particular, her membership in the Thieves Guild).

At first, she views his constant presence over her shoulder and his wry comments of her actions as a bit of a pain, but the more they travel together, the more even their relationship becomes. Eventually, after Illa defeats Alduin and more or less successfully handles the vampire menace, Modryn finally utters that crucial phrase, 'You make me proud,' and departs to whatever afterlife in store for him, his duty as ancestor guardian fulfilled. Before doing so, however, he leaves behind a message, in his peculiar artistic style.
